- Can it move money?
- No. Every endpoint is read-only by default — your agent can see balances, invoices, bills, and forecasts, but it can't pay, transfer, refund, or write back to Xero. Write-scoped keys are a separate, opt-in setting.
- Does Anthropic (or any LLM vendor) see my bank data?
- Only the slice the agent fetches to answer your question, and only when you ask. Cash Runway stores your data; the LLM provider sees whatever your client passes through in the tool-call response. Nothing is sent on a schedule.
- What if I switch agents — or use more than one?
- The MCP endpoint is agent-agnostic. Claude Desktop, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes, NemoClaw, and home-grown agents all hit the same URL with the same key. Rotate the key in Settings; old keys stop working immediately.
